Personal Update!

It's been too long since I've posted an update. I would apologise, but I can't say sorry for getting to be where I have been the past two months ;)

Carolina

My sister and the girls - so much love here :)

In August and part of September, I was able to go back to the States for a little holiday. My best friend from high school was getting married (obviously I couldn't miss that...) and I used it as an excuse to catch up with some friends and family as well.

My heart was so incredibly happy to get to spend time with my nieces! I have missed their faces and little laughs a LOT. I'm blessed to get to Skype with them, but it's not the same as having them face-to-face, REAL hugs and kisses, and obviously the tantrums as well...

Missed our silly selfies :)
JUST LOOK AT THOSE ROLLS :D
My youngest niece, Jennings, was born in February, and I FINALLY got to hold her little chunky self!!! I had some dates with the girls as well, which included way too much sugar, but hey - they're cute and worth it ;)

The wedding was absolutely stunning as well! Katie was the most beautiful bride, and it was a joy to celebrate all that the the Lord has done in bringing her and Nick together. It was a joy seeing her family again, too!

I was able to catch up with friends and my parents as well. My dad journeyed in from Virginia, and he and my mom helped me make a quick trip up there. I'm one blessed daughter!

It was a gift to get to worship with my church and reconnect with them! Even though so much has happened this past year, it still felt like I never left <3

Central Asia
View overlooking the city

After a whirlwind time in Carolina, I was headed back to England for a quick week! It was spent packing and prepping for a trip to Central Asia. I had the joy of meeting some friends there and seeing what the Lord is up to in this area. The people are one of the most intriguing, captivating, and most beautiful that I've met.

We really like food...
I was able to stay with this lovely lady and her Mom for the majority of my time there. They welcomed me into their home and made me feel right at home! This beautiful lady worked all day, and came home to cook authentic Asian dishes for me - my tummy and heart were both incredibly full! Her daughter walked me literally EVERYWHERE in the city (had to work all that food off somehow...) and I got a glimpse into what life could be like there.
THIS LADY = LOVE
There is an NGO there that works with kids in the various children's homes. I was able to meet the team, visit the children, and see what God is up to through them. It's encouraging to see these kids being loved on SO well by friends there, and the hope is that they will see and experience God's love through the workers actions.

I'll be writing an article for Pioneers on my time there, and what all the Lord let me experience. I'll share that when it's all printed up ;)

So, what's next?! Well, lots of praying and figuring out where the Lord wants to lead me. As His word says, I can make all the plans I want, but it's HIS purpose that will prevail. In this time of waiting, please pray for patience and wisdom, as well as an ear that listens to His still, small voice <3
