Be Bold, Christian
This morning as I awoke to the news of everything that transpired yesterday, my heart couldn't handle it. It simply couldn't understand what was happening in this world.
The following post is what I penned in my journal this morning. It morphed from the pain in this world to an overwhelming desire and prayer for my brothers and sisters to UNITE in love for others - to stand up and use the voice that God has given us - all for proclaiming His truth, love and mercy to a broken and hurt world.

Father,
My heart is breaking.
My eyes are weeping.
My brain simply can't comprehend.
Too many deaths from bombings.
Too many corrupt politics in governments.
Too many deaths fueled by anger, rage, and pain.
In all honesty, I want to ask where are you Lord? Why does it feel as if you've taken a step away and left us all? Lord I know when we, as sinful people, are left to our own devices, THIS is what happens.
We NEED you - this world and past couple years just prove that.
Even though I know these crazy stories and violence and brokenness is expected in a sinful world, it still hurts. And now, more than ever Father, we as Christians need to stand up and ACT.
May these events that make us angry and sad and confused cause us to drop to our knees.
May we as Christians, come before you with urgency in prayers for all the world.
May we give up the overindulgence of food and come before you fasting and praying for this world.
More than anything, give us boldness to LOVE our neighbours - no matter their skin colour, occupation, religious beliefs, etc.
Let us open our homes, our wallets, our diaries/planners so that we can invite in people who don't know you.
Revive Christianity in this world. Led us be a courageous people who don't sit idly by while there are people dying every single day who have never even heard of your name.
Tear down the self-imposed barriers we as Christians have put up!
Let us remove every barrier to the Simple Gospel Truth:
We don't have to dress a certain way.
speak the same.
read the same Bible version.
eat certain foods.
worship in the same way.
or fight over all these silly secondary issues...
God break us free from these chains so that we can simply go out and speak love and truth to a world that desperately needs it!
Father, I'm begging for this time to not divide us, but expose us to the division the enemy has created in our church.
I know, without a doubt, that only You can bring healing, O Great Physician! So come, Healer.
Let your Spirit fall afresh on this Earth. Let this be a generation that is full of YOU - full to display:
Let this hurting world cause us as Christians to STAND UP, to be BOLD, and UNITE together in the only truth expressed in the love and sacrifice of Jesus.

Father,

What is happening, Lord? What is going on in this world?
Too many deaths from bombings.
Too many corrupt politics in governments.
Too many deaths fueled by anger, rage, and pain.
We NEED you - this world and past couple years just prove that.

that we are in desperate need of a Saviour, and Jesus Christ is the
only way to be made WHOLE and HOLY -
which means we don't have to do a thing.
speak the same.
read the same Bible version.
eat certain foods.
worship in the same way.or fight over all these silly secondary issues...
God break us free from these chains so that we can simply go out and speak love and truth to a world that desperately needs it!
Just like Jesus.
Father, I'm begging for this time to not divide us, but expose us to the division the enemy has created in our church.
There is so much pain in this world.
It crosses all barriers of geography,
race, gender, culture, etc.
I know, without a doubt, that only You can bring healing, O Great Physician! So come, Healer.
Let your Spirit fall afresh on this Earth. Let this be a generation that is full of YOU - full to display:
Love, Joy, Peace
Patience, Kindness, Goodness,
Faithfullness,
Gentleness,
Self-Control.
