Yard Sale Fundraiser!

Our yard sale was a success!!  Yesterday was a bit stressful - the weather report went from a beautiful, partly cloudy day, to a dreary, rainy, wet day.  My weekends have filled up pretty quick, so there wasn't a real "make-up" day available.  We decided to continue anyways!  We set up some things yesterday while we were organizing, and we had a lot of people show up during that time.  We sold some items, and were able to organize the rest into the garage.  This morning, we just opened the garage door and prayed people would brave the weather - and they did!!

My community is just amazing.  I really can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me since I moved back to North Carolina.  They all donated so much time, energy, effort and items for this garage sale.  I am constantly reminded of the verses in 1 Corinthians 12 describing each of us as part of the body of Christ.  Everyone had unique talents, gifts, and donations they were able to volunteer, and it came together perfectly.  We were able to form some great new connections in the community, and I am hopeful that we will seem some new faces and growth from this yard sale!
